West Side Story (or, our trip to Vancouver)

Happy December! I can’t believe how fast the year has gone by already. Time to catch up the blog…

With almost the entire wedding season under our belts, Tim and I flew out to Vancouver last month to spend 4 days learning, listening and getting our world shaken up. We attended a seminar held by Bebb Studios, named by American Photo Magazine as one of the top 10 wedding studios in the world. And they’re Canadian….rock on! Jen and Steve Bebb are awesome photographers and great people. We had such much fun and so many laughs learning from them. It was good to spend the week with a group of talented photographers from around Canada and the States. Tim and I were thankful for the chance to take time off to think about our studio, reflect on what we’ve been doing and get inspired! We’re so excited about all the cool things we’ve been brewing up and are looking forward to our next season.

We did a model shoot during the seminar on the one day that it didn’t actually rain. Here are my (Angela’s) shots:

And…here are Tim’s shots! We normally work as a team when we shoot together but this was sort of a different situation for us – we couldn’t direct each other’s shots so it was fun to see that we came up with pretty different images although we were in the same settings.

Ricardo - yo, Tim!!

been a while since I checked your work and I postponed my album plans as you probably figured but seriously, you’re shots keep getting better. I’m very impressed by Angela’s shots and the esthetic of it all makes me grasp the possibilities of an outdoor shooting. I’ll let you know when I’m ready for my next move and if you’re willing and available, we’ll help each other make more history.

Ricardo
