Happy birthday to our favorite resident photographer! My wonderful husband Tim turned a milestone 30 years old today but we went out to celebrate with friends and family on the weekend at Machiavelli, a lovely little bring your own wine restaurant in Point-St-Charles. They let us have the whole front room to ourselves which was great because in addition to mingling and hanging out between courses, there was a totally slammin’ cake to fawn over:
That’s right people – that’s a cake. A chocolate and mocha cake to be exact, made by the awesomely talented Jessica Berard, of Jessica Berard Cakes. If you think this cake is rockin’ out, you should see what she can do for wedding cakes!
The cake was a completely surprise for Tim and a fitting tribute, right down to the lens (the 35mm is Tim’s favorite out of our little arsenal of glass). Check out some of the crazy details that Jessica worked into the cake:
