As Tim and I were making plans for Valérie and Marc-André’s pre-wedding shoot last week, we thought about doing a short segment in the famed and storied Montreal metro. I had a pretty good hunch that they would love the idea – and was right! Valérie’s face just lit up when we suggested it at the beginning of the shoot. They were the perfect couple for the idea though – having the city be a supporting player in their images reflecting the urban landscape was important for them. A surprisingly warm early spring morning set the tone as we met up with them at Place des Arts and wandered around the complex, taking full advantage of all the wonderful and weird structures. Valérie and Marc-André are a fun and genuine couple who know full well what’s important to them – I just know that all the aspects of their wedding are going to be a true reflection of who they are.
