John + Cathy: Married!

It brings us so much joy to share this post with you all – our dear friends John and Cathy got married last weekend in a beautiful ceremony and rockin’ party in Montebello. I’ve known John since university and first met Cathy when he brought her as his date to our wedding almost 4 years ago! I’m not being cliche when I say that these two are meant for each other – both share a kooky and silly sense of humor, are compassionate people and just fit together so well.  The ceremony was planned to be outdoors but because of persistent rain that really began to fall in earnest less than an hour before the scheduled ceremony time, it was moved indoors. The change of plans had no impact on how emotional the wedding ceremony was – and oh man, I have to say I nearly shed a few tears myself watching my friends exchange their vows! Tim and I were honored to share in their day by capturing it in image and also celebrating it and partying it out with our friends (well I did, anyway!) in what was a festive and lighthearted night – highlighted by touching and honest speeches and some seriously competitive and hilarious dance-offs. Tim and I were glad that we caught some images of Cathy and John for their “first look” and photo session before the ceremony and the rain really set in.
