Every relationship, every marriage has a story. It could begin with a shared glance across a room at a noisy party. A chance encounter at a cafe. An awkward introduction by mutual friends. Or, a seemingly unrequited high school crush that then turns into a courtship that literally spans the globe.
After several years and thousands of air miles later, Jocelyn and Handry have found their happy ending, finally in the same city ready to start their life together. An emotional start to their wedding ceremony gave way to a celebratory evening with guests who had travelled from all over at the Fairmont Waterfront in beautiful downtown Vancouver. Tim and I had such a great time photographing their wedding – we’re not out west very often, and addition to our excitement of photographing in a vastly different landscape, it was great fun spending the day with Jocelyn and Handry. Jocelyn is an avid foodie like ourselves, Handry keep us constantly entertained with his deadpan sense of humour, and the two of them are kindhearted, generous people who are deeply in love with each other.
