Stéphane and Beatrice had their wedding and reception in Joliette at the beautiful La Distinction reception venue. I remember when we had our first sit-down meeting with them back in January, they told us how important it was to them to have their wedding outdoors in a natural, beautiful setting. Its not common up here in Montreal, especially in the Haitian community so it was going to be something really special. So when the forecast called for rain, Tim and I were dismayed. And then on Saturday, exactly at 4 pm, when the ceremony was scheduled to start, it poured. And I mean, it was a torrential downpour that resembled a monsoon.
As luck would have it though, the storm was over and done with in 20 minutes and the skies cleared up – so that when the ceremony started an hour later, after the staff wiped all the chairs dry, there was not a cloud in the sky. We were thrilled! It was a wonderful wedding, full of emotion and energy, and lots of partying with a live reggae band in the evening. Here’s some shots from the day:
Stephan + Beatrice: you are truly two of a kind. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your day!
