We travelled to Toronto last weekend to shoot Andrew and Nameera’s mendhi celebration and wedding the following day. We had a couple of close calls with the rain (what is it with the crazy weather this summer anyway?!) but the weather co-operated for the most part, choosing not to rain whenever large crowds were outdoors and without cover. The wedding all took place at this gorgeous venue on the shore of Lake Ontario called Palais Royale Ballroom– a converted 1920’s jazz club that retained a lot of what I imagine was the original feel. The very wonderful venue coordinator, Christy, took good care of us and did a great job coordinating the wedding day details. It was a lovely wedding – so many bright and vibrant colors, symbolic and meaningful traditions incorporated into the ceremony and lots of energetic dancing. Andrew and Nameera were resplendent in their color-coordinated attire and very much in love. Here’s some of our favorite shots from the wedding so far:
