Brent and Helene are a cute, quirky couple who we had lots of fun with when we shot their pre-wedding photosession back in the summertime. We had such a blast with them and their bridal party on their wedding day – it always reminds us why we love our job so much – Tim and I not only get to photograph the most emotional and beautiful moments and turn it into works of art – we get to hang with some of the coolest people around and feel like we are truly a part of the big day.
I arrived at the Intercontinental Hotel to get some shots of the girls getting ready and was greeted with some amazing views of downtown Montreal. The wedding ceremony took place at the hotel and we did the rest of the bridal party portraits in and around the adjoining Centre de Commerce Mondiale – which as I’ve blogged before, is the defacto locale for wedding photogs when it rains. We joined the bridal party for an intimate dinner at neighbouring restaurant Steak Frites before we headed to the Canvas Gallery in Lachine for speeches, toasting and….a lion dance! We just loved the vibe at the Canvas Gallery, with the one-of-a-kind artwork on the walls, slightly creaky wooden floors and exposed brick which give the whole party a relaxed and laid-back ambience. Here are some of our favorites from the wedding:
There was a traditional Vietnamese banquet the next night…I really love this image of Helene and her mom:
And…a parting shot from the first night:
Congrats Brent and Helene!
