The bone-chilling cold and jarring winds in the past few days here in Montreal have made Tim and I almost forget what summer and fall were like. I know…its technically still “autumn” but gone are the golden and crimson hues for foliage and balmy weather. Speaking of autumn, we did an engagement photoshoot with Chris and Laura, who are getting married next summer in the old Port. We couldn’t have asked for a prettier day or a more pictureque setting – Old Montreal never lets us down. Well, except when you start setting up an umbrella for some soft fill flash and then these security goons materialize out of nowhere and ask you to show them a photography permit! Excuse-moi?
Anyway, everything was fine once we put our lightstand and umbrella away. I gave the Old Port security person my trademark toothy smile, laughed it off with Chris and Laura and we continued on our merry way. We got lots of great shots of this adorable couple who remind Tim and me of ourselves….Laura is bubbly, talkative and energetic and Chris is quieter, but sweet and with a good sense of humor. They’re also great sports – Tim and I really felt inspired to do some shots under the Jacques Cartier bridge and we took a few shots in the cold. We’re really looking forward to shooting their wedding next year!
Here are a few of our favorites from the shoot:
Thanks for being such good sports Chris and Laura. And keep warm, everyone!
