We have to give all the credit to Nick and Lauri for coming up with the way cool idea of shooting their engagement session at the Montreal Biodome. It was the perfect location to shoot this adorable couple, given that last Saturday was rather gray and bleak. And also? Half-melted snow peppered with black road salt, soggy and random trash littered every which way and brown puddles do not make a very pretty backdrop, even if we were going for a gritty look. The only thing was that the Biodome is a lot more popular than we had given it credit for – apparently it is the place to be on a Saturday in Montreal! In between spotting the resident animals, getting elbowed by eager children clamoring to see said animals, and being warned by security to step off the grass and back onto the walkway (hey, its not like there was a fence or anything!) we got a number of fantastic images. Nick and Lauri were wonderfully laid-back and down-to-earth. They claim they didn’t have good pictures of them before – a claim I seriously question because they’re both so good looking. We are looking forward to shooting their wedding next month!
