If you drive in and around Montreal quite a bit, you can count on St. Joseph’s oratory to be a ubiquitous landmark no matter which direction you’re coming from. You can even see the giantic green domed top of the oratory when flying in by plane, way up in the sky. But its more than just a famous Montreal historical landmark for Shane and Goretti – its where they got engaged. As we all stood at the elevated lookout close to sunset last week, as we shot their engagament session, there was a stillness in the air as the city rushed by down below. With its multitude of winding stairs, detailed structure and expansive view, it made for a beautiful visual and emotional backdrop to Shane and Goretti’s session.
