Games in the morning, games at night – that more or less caps the Chinese wedding day experience. Vickie and Victor’s wedding was a mixture of Chinese ceremonial customs as they honored their heritage, Western wedding tradition and funny, funny games. It was an early and rainy start as Victor and his groomsmen had to barter their way into Vickie’s parent’s house to pick her up by complying with the the bridesmaids’ demands for yoga poses and singing silly songs among other things. After the tea ceremonies, Vickie and Victor officially tied the knot at the beautiful Birks Chapel on McGill campus. Despite the summer heat, its really quite striking with its gorgeous stained glass windows harkening one back to another era. Tim and I then had the luxury of having a long photosession with the bridal party in Old Montreal. Victor and Vickie really shrugged off the impending rain and gloomy skies because as they told us, the photos were that important! Love that. As a result Tim and I got to do a lot of fun shots with them all and the need to cart around a small arsenal of umbrellas proved useful. The fun and games continued at the reception as the bridesmaids and groomsmen planned a variety of activities for the guests which included a scavenger hunt and having guests pin clothespins on Victor which Vickie had to remove blindfolded…I think I will stop right there and share our favorite images from the wedding:
