It was a flurry of activity in the morning in the room at the Chateau Vaudreuil where Laura was getting ready with her bridesmaids and family gathered around but she was calm and collected. But underneath it all, she was undeniably excited and when she and Chris laid eyes on each other for the first time that day, the looks on their faces said it all. All the planning and preparing had all led up to that one moment. Tim and I were really stoked to be there to capture their big day at the elegant Chateau Vaudreuil and it was spectacular. All the details of the day were so carefully thought out and planned – from cologne Chris wore (the very same one he had on their first date) to the small crystals laid out on the tables. Chris and Laura decided to see each other before the ceremony – which Tim and I thought was totally awesome, it was a private, intimate moment for just the two of them.
I could go on about the rest of the day – the beautiful outdoor ceremony by the lake, the supremely tight-sounding band The Directors that got the guests crowding the dancefloor, the Polish dancers that gave a thrilling performance during dinner, Laura wowing everyone with her silky voice as she serenaded Chris with “At Last”, the maid of honor who insisted that she wasn’t the crying type and then gave an emotional speech – but what stood out was the fact that Laura gifted Chris with a car in front their stunned and then delighted guests. What a day! Here are some of our favorite images:
