Phan and Jeff, our longtime friends, flew out from Vancouver to get married a couple of weekends ago in Montreal – Phan’s hometown, where Jeff studied at McGill and where they met and started dating. It was a joyous reunion for her long-time friends, her family and her adorable nieces and nephews who each were part of the wedding ceremony, held at Montreal Chinese Alliance Church. The soaring glass ceiling at the Ruelle des Fortifications at the Intercontinental served as a dramatic backdrop to their reception where Jeff and Phan opted to do a dance number to “Jai Ho” (the hit from Slumdog Millionaire) with their bridal party surprising their guests rather than a traditional first dance. Jeff and Phan are a fun-loving couple (they flashed us double peace signs and a toothy grin whenever they caught sight of Tim or I focusing our cameras on them) who treasure their friends and family so much that they had a separate slideshow at the reception featuring their guests.
