It started to rain as we were driving down the highway for Anny and Michael’s engagement shoot over the weekend and I started to panic a little bit. Not only had this adorable couple agreed to drive about an hour south of Montreal at our suggestion but Anny had come in from Ottawa for the shoot! The forecast had called for no rain for the afternoon and as Tim sipped on the coffee that Michael bought for our little roadtrip, I felt a little pre-guilty that we might have wasted their time. With the brilliant colors of the fall foliage and apple picking season in full swing, having an orchard as a setting seemed ideal. Until that is, those drop of rain started hitting our windshield. Luckily as we pulled up to park our cars though, the rain let up. With an apple in each of our hands from the owner, we all ambled into the orchard. And as luck would have it, the sun came out for the rest of the shoot. With all of us being city folks (Anny especially; having just recently flown in from Shanghai to be in town for the rest of the month), being among the trees in the orchard was a peaceful, idyllic retreat of an afternoon. We’re looking forward to shooting Anny and Michael’s wedding later this month!
