They say you can measure someone by the company they keep. Throughout the wedding day Tim and I not only had the pleasure of spending lots of time with Remmick and Tuan but their friends and family as well, who we found to be so very friendly and welcoming and inquisitive about our work. It came as no surprise to us and Remmick and Tuan are incredibly kind-hearted and generous people. Their wedding was absolutely lovely, with all the details carefully planned with beautiful results. The ceremony was at Southminister United Church in Ottawa and the reception was held at beautiful Hilton Lac Leamy. Remmick’s dress was especially stunning and the tale of how she acquired it even more so: after spotting a picture of it in an old 2003 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings she tracked down the make of the dress only to find out that there were only a few ever made to sell for retail – for an exorbitant price. Not that there any to be had – this dress was hard to find anywhere. Remmick almost gave up on the search until her aunt finally tracked one down in New York for sale by a private owner. With less then 48 hours notice the determined bride-to-be, her maid of honor and future husband hoofed to NYC from Toronto so that she could see it and try it on. And that was that – the dress was a perfect fit and a dream to behold.
