It’s not on every photoshoot that one half of the couple starts it off by donning a funny toque, but well, this is who Ruby and Andrew are – spirited, playful and happy. If they weren’t being affectionate, they were ribbing each other good-naturedly. Tim and I didn’t once have to tell them to smile or laugh – and in fact found ourselves cracking up with them most of the shoot. We spent a perfect and mild morning in the Byward Market area of Ottawa, being shooed from vendor’s stalls for taking pictures, stopping for a cup of coffee and wandering around the quiet courtyards closeby. We ended the shoot in the magnificent National Gallery where we ended up grabbing a few shots of Andrew’s brother and his fiancee as well. Ruby and Andrew were so excited about our shoot that they wanted to share part of the experience with others – so very telling of what big hearts they have. We are totally looking forward to shooting their wedding in a couple of months! Here are some of our favorite shots:
