Radiant doesn’t even begin to describe Kelly and Drew on their wedding day. Not even an appointment that ran way late at the salon could even begin to dampen Kelly’s excitement. She swept into her room, gave me a huge hug, downed two PB&J sandwiches and without skipping a beat got right into her dress to meet Drew for their first look. The Lake Placid region in the fall is staggeringly beautiful – and it was quite the appropriate backdrop for the gorgeous bride and groom when they first saw each other alone, before the ceremony. From then on, they were all smiles and laughter for the rest of the day and into the night and their excitement about being married was totally contagious!
Their emotional and poignant ceremony was held on the lakefront at the Lake Placid Lodge, followed by their reception at the Whiteface Lodge. Tim and I knew that Drew and Kelly were a whole lot of fun to be around – the kind of people that when you get together with you just know you’ll be be cracking up a lot – but these two took their party to a whole new level with Drew’s crazy dance skills and the bridal party dominating the stage along with the band, Sweet Tooth and the SugarBabies, who kept the party going strong. With their families and friends welcoming Tim and I with open arms and making us feel very much a part of the festivities, we had an awesome time. Kelly and Drew – thanks so much for letting us share in your big day.
