Mehrab and Indi are two of the kindest, most genuine souls we have ever met, the kind of people who you have an instant connection with. After shooting their emotional engagement shoot in NYC, Tim and I knew we were going to thoroughly enjoy shooting their wedding and spending the day with them. The very first thing Indi did when she saw me on her big day in the midst of getting her hair done, was get out of her chair to gleefully rub my 7 month pregnant belly!
I could go on about the gorgeous wedding details – their ceremony and reception were held at the National Gallery of Art in Ottawa, made even more beautiful by their Chanel-inspired decor with details and stationary evoking a vintage couture feel. Indi’s dress with its Parisian-made lace and black velvet bow completed the elegance of the whole day. Traditional Indonesian dances as well as songs performed by their talented friends brought a really personal touch to the evening. What made this wedding so special though, was Indi and Mehrab themselves with their graciousness and love – and their personal jump-start to the party! When they came strutting onto the dancefloor with shades and glowsticks in their hands in lieu of a formal first-dance the party was on. Check out some of our favorite images from their big day!
We also need to give a special mention to Stacy from Marry Me Productions who was a joy to work alongside and pulled an incredibly beautiful event together!
