We shoot weddings week in and week out during our peak season, and we often get asked if we get tired of it. If wedding photography was only about the event in itself and the familiar rituals and customs, I suppose it would get old. But our photography is about real people and their stories and thats what makes our work interesting and fascinating. Events both big and small, moment both subtle and significant translate into telling images – moments like when J and E saw each other for the first time that day or when E’s mom cracked a joke out of left field during her speech, sending the whole room into uproarious laughter for a good 10 seconds. We thoroughly enjoyed shooting J+E’s wedding – they put so much thought into everything they did, from the table placecards to their favors to their caketopper to where they held their ceremony (McGill, where they both went to school AND where E popped the question!).
