It didn’t seem that long ago when April called me to tell me that she was engaged to Mike. When they asked us to shoot their wedding, we couldn’t have been more honored and humbled to be entrusted with the task of documenting what we knew would be an epic wedding – not only because it was in Maui but because of the people they are and who they surround themselves with.
Hawaii has always been a special place for April and when we touched down there ourselves a few days prior to the wedding festivities- we understood why. Life moves at a different pace, people are so relaxed and the sunsets (and mai tais!) are like none other. April and Mike had their wedding ceremony by the ocean, officiated by Emily, her maid of honor – making the day all the more personal and intimate. Their reception, overlooking the water, was the perfect spot to view the famed Hawaii sunset and indulge in a lot of laughter and revelry.
