Calm, collected, excited. Both Tim and I have found ourselves using these same words to describe Simon and Edith the morning of their wedding as they were getting ready. Maybe it has to do with the fact they have been together for 9 years and grew up in the same neighbourhood but there is no doubt they these two are like two birds of a feather and very much in tune with each other. Simon and Edith had a gorgeous, exquisite wedding – starting with a lovely ceremony outside their venue at l’Entrepot Dominion, followed by a boisterous party where guests both Lebanese and Quebecois shimmied and moved to the strong rhythms of Arabic music. It was a great party – filled with people who clearly adore and love Simon and Edith. Who wouldn’t? Even as our time with them drew to an end – they insisted that we put our gear away and have a few drinks and celebrate with them. So insistent that it took some convincing that we needed to get back to check on our baby that they conceded – a testament to their generous natures.
Every beautiful detail of the wedding was designed and put together by Carte Blanche, who also co-ordinated the day. Ever the consummate professionals, Tim and I were thrilled to be working alongside them again!
