It’s not very often these days that we see weddings that are a complete family affair. For Gilbert and Tsz Ting’s big day earlier this summer, they themselves as well as their families were hands-on in so many ways – from organizing the logistics, to designing and making the decor, playing music as Gilbert sang a song for his new bride during the ceremony, emceeing the festivities and planning the games. Even the pretty and well-stocked candy bar and the exquisite wedding cake were put together by sisters from both sides. It was refreshing to see this all unfolding – a reminder that weddings are much more than just a glitzy event but an honest and joyful celebration with family by your side. Their wedding took place on the grounds of the Royal Military College in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu on a picture perfect day.
